Support Group Meeting for Gay Fathers:

The first Gay Fathers meeting is a big step. Who will be there? What is this about? If this describes you, then relax, you are like the vast majority of men at their first Gay Fathers meeting. Do let someone know if this is your first meeting. Then sit back and join in the discussion when ready. If asked, answering with "I prefer to listen, tonight" will be respected.

We discuss many topics related to our experiences -- past and present -- about being attracted to men and being a father, and we encourage every man to participate. However, Gay Fathers of Toronto will not advise. We encourage every man to find the path best suited for him and his situation.

Tonight's Topic:     The Holidays are coming....argh, where does the Gay Dad fit?

Knowing the holiday season is coming, as a gay father, what makes it more stressful for you than it used to be?  What things are concerning you?  As we approach various holidays, do you have concerns about celebrations, or other for family occasions?  Do we find our social calendars quieter than they used to be?  Do you find it challenging juggling the social scene; finding your place in family celebrations or holiday festivities?  Please come tonight to share questions you have as a gay father and the holidays you share with people.  Do you have a supportive family?  Do you have a family of choice instead?  What has worked for you?  What struggles do you still have?  Come tonight for a discussion many gay fathers have about fitting into holidays.

Discussion Facilitator: Graham   *Second Facilitator: John StJ

*When two or more facilitators are usually present, the Second Facilitator will be happy to talk privately if you prefer.*
